Monitoring Legislation and KPI

The scale of the amount of Short Term Rentals in a city or town become clear at a glance by extracting the data into visuals such as Google Maps. Questions about localisation are answered when websites as Airbnb, Booking.com and TripAdvisor are turned into dots on a map. Monitoring KPI’s is far more easy if the tekst from advertisements is turned into structured data and filters.

Monitoring legislation and KPI:

- - Some cities have rules allowing short term rentals. That is for instance the number of people allowed in a property. Sometimes not more than 6 people. Web scraping the amount mentioned in the advertisement and filtering the information makes it easier to monitor legislation and KPI.
  - Advertising for large groups is prohibited in certain neighbourhoods of some cities.
  - How many properties has a landlord and how many are allowed. In some Beach cities a second home is normal and in others its not. Select the properties easy for further investigation.
  - How many reviews are published? Usting the amount of revieuws indicates how active the property is. These figures can be compared to the amount of days that is allowed.

Host and Review data

We include host/landlord data such as since when they are active and how many properties they have for rental. There are visualizations by district. We also provide insights into landlords who rent out multiple properties and how this has evolved over the years and across districts. This does not allow us to show the number of days per booking, but we can display the total cumulative bookings.

The reviews of these properties can also be involved in monitoring to gain more insight into the rental activity of a location.
